SETH HOOK
MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
I first came to camp to volunteer on the support staff program team because my mom told me I should. I kept coming back as I was in search of finding my faith for myself, to grow further, and camp is fun. In 2025 I came to cabin lead and I wasn't planning on coming back after but then Jon Kehler came and offered me a job, following the leading of the Lord in doing so. Now I am on the maintenance team as the maintenance assistant and offer my perspective on problem solving and get 'er done attitude.
I have two brothers, one older and one younger, they mean alot to me, they're my best friends. Fishing is my favorite hobby, the outdoors is my happy place, I love being in the mountains with my friends. I started dirt biking when I was 6 and haven't stopped since. I also love all sports but have pursued soccer the most.

JOSH BOS
LEAD HOST
Josh's first camp experience started in 2017 when he signed up for Teleios three days before the program started. That attitude has marked his camp experience ever since. Through his different positions at camp -- Jr. Cabin Leader, Program Coordinator, Teleios Director, and being the first Camp Apprentice, Lead Host, and Boat Bos, respectively -- Josh has been a walking model of "I'm sure we will figure it out" (he doesn't always figure it out). As of March 2026, Josh is moving into his fifth year on the full-time team -- he is the Lead Host when Camp isn't running and the Boat Bos when it is.
Josh lives on site with his wife (Bree) and his cat (Artaxerxes) -- named after the good Biblical king of Persia (which is funny, because he is a cat). They love boardgames, beekeeping, fishing, disc golf, anything to do with watersports, watching the Blue Jays, and having in depth conversations about the kingdom of God.

JESSE KOOP
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
I first started working at SABC on the Wash Crew as part of the summer team—and somehow, they kept letting me come back. I haven’t missed a summer since! Over the years, I’ve bounced around camp a bit, serving on the Media Team, as a Cabin Leader, on Program Team, and even in the mentorship program the last couple summers. Basically, if there’s a job at camp, I’ve probably at least tried it once.
Now, I’m excited to officially join the full-time team as Program Director… which mostly means I get to keep doing camp all year long.
When I’m not at camp, you’ll probably find me hanging out with my dogs, taking photos, eating a concerning amount of pickles, or lifting heavy things for fun—because apparently that counts as a hobby now.

Our desire is that these deadlines will help us communicate with our staff well, create good expectations, identify gaps, and aid us in building a cohesive team in a timely manner as we prepare for the summer months. We encourage you to apply early for your top choice(s) of position in order to be considered.
I grew up attending SABC and began volunteering with the “Grits Crew” as soon as I was eligible. We washed dishes, cleaned bathrooms, set up for activities and anything else that needed to be done. Over the years, I continued to serve in different capacities, including a summer in the Leadership Training (LITE Force) program and another as a Cabin Leader. SABC has played a significant role in my spiritual growth and development. After several years away, I was delighted to see my children begin attending and was honored to join the staff team in 2024.
I met my husband, Bryce, at SABC and together we have four children: Layla, Luke, Penny, and Clark. As a family, we enjoy playing board games, going swimming, and spending time camping together.

I’ve been a part of camp for as long as I can remember. I started as a camper as soon as I was old enough to attend, then moved up to support staff when I turned 14. I joined the Media team and quickly fell in love with it! From there, I served on spring staff as the Fort Media Coordinator for two years, then stepped into the Media Director role. Now, I’m grateful to be on full-time staff as SABC’s Marketing Director!
I have two incredible older sisters and loving, supportive parents. Outside of camp, I’ve been attending Prairie Bible College in their Aviation program. I’m almost finished the course, but I had to take a short. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, watching movies, playing board and card games, and spending time with my loved ones!

SABC has been part of Jordan’s journey longer than he can remember! His parents were on staff when Jordan was born and has been a camper or staff member every summer since he was able to. Jordan joined the full time time team in the fall of 2015. He originally joined the team as seasonal staff then switched to the maintenance team and joined the program team as the Program Director in fall of 2016. Jordan loves all aspects of camp and is always looking at new and creative ways to make campers’ experiences excellent. He is also the scheduling master and always making sure people are in the right places. Jordan met his wife Amber at the camp while they were both cabin leaders and got married in May of 2019 and now have two girls Elliot and Isla. Jordan loves all things sports from watching the Raptors and Leafs, and playing volleyball, basketball and soccer. He also has an eye for designing new and exciting projects and is often building these creations with his dad and grandpa. Jordan’s favorite thing to do is spending time with his family going on walks and playing games. Camp has had a huge impact on Jordan’s faith journey and he is excited to share this with all campers that come through the camp. Seeing kids from previous summers or events and reconnecting with them and walking alongside them is Jordan’s favorite part of camp. Jordan has seen God work in so many ways at the camp and is excited to see what He does next!

My husband Jon & I moved to SABC in July of 2009 with 3 kids and 2 more on the way. I was a busy stay at home Mom, but helped out at the camp with registration days and also did some cleaning between rentals. I joined the office team as the Events Coordinator for Ride for a Reason and our annual Senior’s Sing & Dine in 2016, shortly after that “Bookkeeper” and “Medical Administrator” were added to my tasks as well. I have always loved camp, and being able to serve as a family at SABC has been such a blessing to us! Even though our kids are growing up fast, and starting to create lives of their own away from camp, they all still come back to work/volunteer as often as they can.
Brielle got married in August of 2023 to Micah Claussen, and they have 2 kids Evelynn & Ezekiel.
Micah (our oldest son, NOT our son-in-law) just completed the Criminal Justice program in Lethbridge.
Isaiah is graduating Grade 12 this year, and Kallie & Malachi are finishing up Grade 10!
My favorite thing to do these days is to spend time with my grandkids of course! They are the absolute best and so much fun to chat with and snuggle. When I’m not doing that, I love to play games, watch movies, read books, and go for walks, all while drinking coffee (hot or cold) of course!

I joined the properties division in 2018 and have been so blessed and stretched. My Family lives on-site here at camp. My wife’s name is Erin along with our three kids: Arianna (oldest), Felix, Clara (youngest). I enjoy all activities that we can do as a family. We enjoy boating, activities in the gym and playing games. My favourite part of being a part of SABC is that I get to work alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ who seek to join Him in the building up of His Kingdom!

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to read my Bio! My name is Jason and I have had the pleasure of being on staff here at SABC since 2021. My wife is Tricia and we have 2 beautiful daughters, Elizabeth(3) and Keziah(1 week). My role is Sous Chef and I joyfully use the skills God has equipped me with to feed either you and your family or just your kids when they come for their time at camp. I Love my job here and it is by far one of the most fulfilling jobs I have had in career as a cook. My family and I enjoy hikes in the mountains, camping, hunting, and fishing. I very much enjoy getting into the woodshop and building things for my home.

Started working at camp back in the Stone Age, or mid nineties for those older folks. First summer was on base staff and then Liteforce the next year and then rest is history…
My family grew by two this last year and now consists of my beautiful wife Jamie, Sonia (16 yrs), Kalyn (14 yrs), Piper (13 yrs) and Rosie (11 yrs).
When I’m not busy cooking up a storm at work or at home. I enjoy walks with my wife, way too many movies and as many naps as humanly possible.

Was born in 1982 and is still alive.

I have been at SABC since the summer of 2013. I was the Fort cook that first summer and then became the Guest Services Manager in October.
I live in Vulcan, Alberta with my husband James and my youngest son. My daughter and oldest son are also still living in Alberta and working through their graduate degrees. My favorite days are the ones when all the kids come home!
I am most passionate about my faith and my family and am a firm generational believer that most worries can be solved over a cup of tea. I spend a lot of my leisure time with my husband and kids, our parents, our siblings and nieces and nephews. My favorite places are the mountains and the ocean and I enjoy traveling when I get the chance and have many destinations on my bucket list! I spend a lot of time outdoors, and love the chaos of all my kids and their dogs out on a walk together. I also have an abundance of crafting hobbies when I find the time and I also love to plant a garden and flowers in my yard.
SABC is my home away from home and the people I work with are family. God shifted things in my life to bring me here and I recognize and rejoice in that call on my life. There is no other place in the world quite like SABC. This camp is a second home to so many; I have witnessed camp’s transformative effect in the lives of all three of my kids and countless others; God is moving here and I just can’t imagine working anywhere else.

After finishing his BA in Biblical Studies from Providence College, Jon began a one year internship opportunity at SABC in 1991. Little did he know that this one year would turn into a life career with the camp – first for 5 years as a Program Director, then 30 years in his present role as Executive Director. Jon is passionate about the way God uses camp to touch and transform lives. The stories of God working are endless. Jon is married to Melissa who shares in the love for camp ministry and serves as a principal in a local school. They have 4 children – Nolan, Norah, Nate and Jayden – with the youngest two still at home. Jon enjoys following the Calgary Flames and Blue Jays, a tall cold Coca Cola on ice, Ford trucks and most of all a Benchmark steak with a baked potato, all the fixings, and Taber corn on the cob!
